ABOUT

Trained at Chicago's Top Firms. Now Fighting for the People Who Need It Most.

I left a career at prominent Chicago workers' compensation and personal injury firms because I saw a gap — working people, many of them Spanish-speaking, many of them immigrants, getting lost in systems that weren't built with them in mind. I founded Salgado Injury Law to close that gap.

Where I Come From — and Why It Drives Everything I Do

I grew up alongside the working community I now represent. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason I do this work. When an injured worker calls me, I understand what's at stake. Not just the legal claim, but the lost wages, the fear about immigration status, the pressure to return to work before the body is ready. I've seen it up close my entire life.

After earning my undergraduate degree in International Political Science from Northern Illinois University in 2006 and my JD from NIU College of Law in November 2010, I was admitted to the Illinois State Bar that same month. I spent the next 12 years as an associate at well-regarded Chicago workers' comp and personal injury firms — learning the full mechanics of how these cases are built, negotiated, and won.

In 2022, I founded Salgado Injury Law. Not to build a bigger firm, but to build a better one — one where clients speak directly with their attorney, every time.

What 16 Years Inside the System Actually Taught Me

Twelve years working at Chicago's prominent workers' comp and PI firms gave me something that can't be replicated: I know exactly how insurance companies, adjusters, and opposing counsel approach injured workers' cases. I've seen the strategies they use to minimize claims, delay settlements, and pressure claimants into accepting less than they're owed.

That experience is now entirely in your corner.

Your Case Stays With Me — Start to Finish

As a solo practitioner, I personally handle every case that comes through this firm. There is no team of paralegals screening your calls. There is no associate attorney you've never met working your file. When you hire me, you work with me.

About 80% of my clients have my personal cell phone number. That's not a policy — it's just how I practice. You deserve to reach your attorney when something happens, not leave a message and wait.

If you were injured at work or in an accident and you want to speak with an attorney — not a call center, not a screener — call me directly.

Serving Chicago, the Fox Valley, and Spanish-Speaking Communities Across Illinois

Serving Chicago, the Fox Valley, and Spanish-Speaking Communities Across Illinois

I serve injured workers and accident victims throughout Chicago and Cook County, and across the Fox Valley — including Elgin, Aurora, Carpentersville, and Algonquin. I also handle fully virtual cases statewide across Illinois.

My practice is bilingual by design. A significant portion of my clients are Spanish-speaking, and I provide consultations, case updates, and full representation in both English and Spanish. If you've been hesitant to call a law firm because of a language barrier, that barrier doesn't exist here.
